Beginning of the project
„Production of Simex furniture with green energy”

S.C. SIMEX S.A., headquartered in Șimleul Silvaniei, Cehei Street, no. 100, Sălaj county, implements the project „Production of Simex furniture with green energy”, financed by the EEA and Norwegian Financial Mechanisms 2014-2021, in the frame of the „Energy Programme in Romania”, case number 2019 / 104280.

The total value of the project is 477.600,09 euro without VAT, of which the amount of the grant is 237.000 euro and the amount of the promoter contribution is 240.600,09 euro.

The project is implemented at the head office of the company in Șimleul Silvaniei, Cehei Street, no. 100, Sălaj county.

Expected outcomes:

• Estimated annual CO2 emissions reductions (in tonnes CO2eq/year): 364 tonnes of CO2eq/year
• Estimated annual production of energy from other renewable sources (photovoltaic pannels): 520 MWh/year
• Estimated number of jobs created: 3 new jobs.

The total value of the project is 477.600,09 euro without VAT, of which the amount of the grant is 237.000 euro and the amount of the promoter contribution is 240.600,09 euro.

Proiectul s-a implementat la sediul social al societății în Șimleu Silvaniei, Str. Cehei, nr. 100, județul Sălaj.

The main objective of the project is to provide alternative energy resources from renewable sources for the furniture production process.

Outcomes of the project:

• Estimated annual CO2 emissions reductions (in tonnes CO2eq/year): 364 tonnes of CO2eq/year
• Estimated annual production of energy from other renewable sources (photovoltaic pannels): 520 MWh/year
• Number of jobs created: 3 new jobs.

The project has a positive impact on the environment and from a social point of view by:

• reduction of air pollution and greenhouse gas in the region of investment
• reduction of fossil fuels consumption within the company, setting an example for other companies and raising awareness about the importance of using alternative energies in the production process
• reduction of carbon emissions within the company ensuring the necessary premises for sustainable development through the use of renewable energy sources and improving the quality of the environment
• 3 new jobs created for unemployed or disadvantaged people
